Our 50+ strong Brussels office, dedicated to European public affairs, supports businesses and organisations in navigating the complex institutional environment of the European Union. As part of our expansion, we are recruiting one European Public Affairs Consultant to strengthen our Competition Practice.
Consultants in our Competition practice work at the intersection of political engagement strategies and client management, helping organisations navigate antitrust investigations, merger reviews, and market studies across the EU regulatory landscape. The role calls for intellectual curiosity and the ability to bring original thinking to each client's specific competitive and regulatory context.
Main Responsibilities
Provide high-quality support to our clients on a wide range of competition issues and contribute to strategic planning and development.
Prepare position papers, policy briefings and risk assessments.
Support advocacy and stakeholders engagement activities with European institutions, including meeting coordination and follow-up.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments at EU level and assess their potential impact on clients and markets...
Profile
Master's degree in law, politics or economics.
Up to 3 years of professional experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Candidates should ideally have initial professional experience in competition law, antitrust policy, merger control, State aid, digital regulation or related fields. Experience within the European Commission, national competition authorities, law firms, economic consultancies, or specialised advisory firms is particularly valued
Detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and proactive, with a hands-on attitude.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset and a collaborative team spirit.
Fluent in English, knowledge of another EU language is considered an asset, particularly French.
