Position Overview
INCYBER Forum s seeking a Business Development Analyst/Consultant for an indefinite period of time, to be based in one of the following locations: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, D.C, OR NYC (remote contract only). The Business Development Analyst/Consultant will support the growth of our cybersecurity conference and digital transformation initiatives. The role is primarily business development-focused, with responsibilities spanning market research, market mapping, sales operations, and strategic insight generation to strengthen INCYBER’s presence in Canada and support its brand-building efforts internationally.
This role operates as an independent contractor engagement, with responsibility for delivering defined outputs and managing work autonomously. Any potential transition to full-time employment would be considered for the right candidate, based on performance and business needs.
Main Responsibilities
Provide business development support to the Head of Partnerships (US & CA) and EU partners by contributing to the growth of INCYBER’s events and strategic offerings in the Canadian market
Conduct independent market, competitor, and industry research to identify opportunities in Canada
Develop target account lists and produce market maps to inform outreach strategies
Source, qualify, and maintain leads and prospect pipelines using contractor-managed workflows and tools (as applicable)
Maintain and update CRM systems and contribute to sales tracking processes based on agreed deliverables
Deliver strategic insights and analysis to support growth and program development
Collaborate cross-functionally with Forward Global teams to ensure alignment of Canadian initiatives with broader global strategy
Represent INCYBER at client events, symposiums, and business meetings, as mutually agreed
Contribute to brand-building and thought leadership initiatives through research, content input, and market perspective
Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated experience in business development, market research, or related areas (typically 2+ years or equivalent project-based work)
Relevant background in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to generate actionable insights independently
Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo) and standard business tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace Suite
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Familiarity with or interest in cybersecurity, digital transformation, technology, or professional services environments
Ability to operate autonomously, manage priorities independently, and deliver results without reliance on extensive internal infrastructure
Experience working across international markets or with globally distributed teams
Availability and willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and strategic engagements, as needed

Pay Transparency
Forward Global is committed to fair and transparent compensation practices. As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, we provide a compensation range for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions where disclosure is required. Actual compensation may vary based on several factors, including relevant experience, specific skills, geographic location, and other role-related considerations.
